Wildflowers from Licola to Brunswick

Here is a nature strip in Brunswick we planted out last spring.  The garden is less than 1km from the Merri Creek, we’ve used lots of indigeneous species to fill out this nature strip.  Last spring we spent a few days up in Gippsland where the roadsides were filled with wildflowers.  I’ve been visiting this part of  the world for years but I can’t recall seeing it like this before.  Maybe it’s all those bushfires and floodsIMG_2337 IMG_2338 IMG_1855 IMG_1873 IMG_1861 IMG_1856 that Licola has had over the last decade.  The wild flowers have certainly benefitted from it.  It’s great to see the plants we like to use in our Melbourne native gardens out in natural habitat.
