A terrace garden for an inner city

Melbourne apartment. Our client calls it his backyard and it is; a paved terrace equivalent to a small courtyard. This is a great spot in Carlton but a tough site. South west facing and up 1 storey, so we needed plants that would cope with summer sun and heat but tolerate cold conditions in winter. We’ve utilised the existing pots and added some large planters to compliment. the result is a full garden without cluttering the limited floor spaces. Herbs, lemons, limes and mandarins to make a productive herb and fruit garden.
