Mirrors in Balaclava

A small courtyard in Balaclava in inner Melbourne.  This courtyard needed a bit of wow.  Our client has a theme going on with old metal frames and mirrors and needed to jazz up the back fence.

We have been collecting old frames for quite a while, just waiting for the right job to use them on.  This one fits the bill.  We have used a couple of old door frames and modified to make mirrors, the planters boxes were also custom designed. We needed planters that were deep enough to allow the climbers to get decent growth, and narrow enough for a car to still drive into the off street parking.

This pic is taken just after planting, it won’t be long until the mesh is a green wall and the planters have soft ground cover spilling over the edges.
