so it’s raining in Melbourne

We’re working around the rain this week.  There’s a garden in Ascot Vale that needs planting, but the soil is a little too wet to work over and storms are looming. So instead we have been busy getting this concrete courtyard ready for planting. Our first job is to cut away the concrete and expose some native soil.  Always a mystery when doing this, never know what you may find under the concrete – more concrete, buried rubble, or treasures or, tree roots.  Lucky for us we exposed a few tree roots and some not too bad soil.  Next step will be getting this soil ready for planting.
