Sure it’s cold outside, we are in the midst of winter. Get outside, take a brisk walk and have a look at the some of the gorgeous colour you can include in your garden. Camellias are perfect for small gardens.
Camellias not only provide some lovely winter color, these plants can also be used for hedging particularly in a small garden. Nice glossy leaves for an evergreen screen with the added bonus of a burst of flowers in winter. Use them to as a contrast to the bare bones of a deciduous winter garden. I have just planted Camellia sasanqua down a narrow side way with a view from the living room windows. These photo’s courtesy of Leonie Rogers.
